Haha you’re so right, 18 to drink but 21 to smoke weed? Drinking definitely kills.

Quebecers are out to lunch. Perhaps there just isn’t enough illegal trafficking going on for the Quebec Politicians and their corrupt connections with the Mafia/Hells Angels and organized crime friends to get their kickbacks ;). Seeing as the cannabis stock bubble is popping I’m sure a bunch of those losers like two-faced former Chiefs of Police and Politicians who invested have been losing some $$ in the stock market when it comes to the reefer :p. Gotta make back their losses somehow right?

CBC is going to place journalists in local cities and towns across the country? Haha oh I can’t wait for that. They are going to be run out of town like the parasites they are.
For a whole year when the public wanted to buy some govt weed, there was a ‘shortage’, so people still mostly had to get it from the black market. Now they have too much? What a total bunch of idiots. Another way to use up Canada’s money. Build warehouses and pay staff for nothing.
There’s a surplus because they were putting so many restrictions on buying it and wanting high prices and still treating everyone like criminals.
Funny that CBC was always showing ‘news’ about how all of Canada was going to fall completely apart when it became legal and kept showing cannabis entrepreneurs in a very negative light on many broadcasts – Libs should have told them NOT to do that since it was Libs paying their salaries and a huge Lib venture… Maybe Trudeau wanted it all to fail so more businessmen would lose more money and Canada could go down the tubes even faster…. I’m thinking Trudeau deliberately sabotaged the whole thing now.
They want many people to order online but the postage is so expensive because of inflated salaries of spoiled Canada Post workers. That’s part of the problem too. (Let alone overpackaging, which is a huge cost problem) If they had examined and copied the US they might have done better.

Maybe marijuana contributes to psychosis. I’ve never seen or felt any evidence of that, but i’m just one person.

But, what marijuana does NOT do is kill you. There isn’t enough on the planet to kill one person. Because it’s not deadly. So, it seems crazy to me to use a legal maneuver to limit access to the least deadly of the 3 things that you could possibly start doing at 18. (right).

Seems sketchy to me.

sure i get that. my point was it has its side effects and not good for us especially as a whole society.

dont forget most users use less before do to the fact it was illegal. heavy use is when we will see more problem prop up. all at our expense i may add.

want to add cirrhosis of the liver was rare during prohibition.

personally i would love to see all 3 made illegal. yes i know im a minority in that.

also want to add i dont get why people are willing to give this crap goverment more money via taxes. sure we all pay sales tax but isnt it like 50% of the cost of alcohol taxes? insane.

7. Avatar

That’s like asking for one disease over another cause it’s not as bad.

Like I said before the government doesnt legalize things that are good for you.

When I lived and travelled in Korea in 1997 – 1999 a pack of 20 cigarettes cost just over one dollar, and it was 3 to 4 times cheaper than what it cost in Canada. The liquor was cheap too and was sold in convenience stores on every corner.

Alcohol ruins families because many people are addicted, and the spouse and children suffer for life from the damages, let alone the health of the person who is addicted. No, marijuana is not the same, and I’ve read many books about psychotic people who were serial killers or had committed a violent crime they were famous for, and no part of those factual stories said their psychosis was made worse by any substance. I have known people who want to smoke some marijuana every day, and they are mentally ill, and it helps them to feel better mentally, so they can get up in the morning. I’m not talking about normal people or medical users. I’ve witnessed a lot of society in my time, and I’ve seen people who are “losers” smoke weed every day but I think they would have been worse if they hadn’t had their marijuana. The marijuana didn’t make them losers, they would have been that way or worse anyway. Some people rely on it to function at all in this society.

I do find it funny that the govt wants everybody to smoke marijuana, but they don’t want them smoking anything else. I have wanted marijuana in an alternative form because I’ve quit cigarettes, but have had a hard time getting it in a different form than dry bud…. They never say smoking marijuana it is bad fof the lungs, like they do with cigarettes and vaping. What a crock everything they say is.
Quebec just goes against the rest of Canada because they are HATEFUL, which makes them go against whatever we do. They hate everyone everywhere. The Acadians have become similar here in NB. I don’t blame the rest of Canada for not liking them. If anyone doesn’t understand that now, then they’ve have had no experience with the French here yet.

I posted the refer madness poster as a joke (sarcastic humour). It did open up a conversation though. The actions of the government today remind me of when the government outlawed hard liquor in the USA. Look who became millionaires back then? The Kennedy’s come to mind.

So what’s the long game (slow burn ) here in Canada?

That’s hilarious “I think they would have been worse if they hadn’t had their marijuana” haha, I like that.
I loved Korea and they have such a safe society. They’re very neat and also innocent always. Very few of them aren’t like this norm and they are ostracized if they are not the same as everyone else. I don’t know if what I’m writing is making sense, as it is so different there. It’s beautiful and there are so many conveniences at your fingertips. It’s hard to not have English spoken all the time, though. Their government is good to its people and even though there has been corruption in big companies in the past, the govt does not tax the people or overcharge them for healthcare, liquor, food, cigs, entrances to tourism spots and special events….. I liked that.

Oh well, young teenagers are using it anyway, regardless of what govt is doing. Trudeau and buddies would like it if marijuana makes more effeminate males here – to reduce Caucasian population further and he can also cater to them to get more votes. They can decide if it helps or hinders transgender men trying to have real gender reconstruction…… I’m calling them ‘transgender men’ now because I’m very fed up.
