Steve Dyck on Edmonton Fire
Our First Mother the planet is communicating a clear request that we take climate action. Building the low carbon economy quickly will require all of our efforts. Ontario and Alberta governments moves to cancel carbon pricing is without conscience. https://t.co/KEcXSGwp40

Historic Fires 1982 – 2018
The same world that has seen forest fires for millennia. Not pleasant, that’s for sure, but also not a new phenomenon. pic.twitter.com/zOz8HwF0h2

What’s happening to Jupiter’s Great Red Spot? Astronomers see unravelling of 400-year-old storm
Over the past week, amateur astronomers around the world have seen some unusual activity around the solar system’s largest and longest-lasting storm, known as the Great Red Spot (GRS).
The swirling red clouds that have been raging over the giant planet for centuries have been spotted forming “propellers” along the storm’s edges, with these blade-like shapes spinning off and ultimately dissipating
If you’ve ever ventured to tour sub-urbanite mom social media, it’s f-ing terrifying how to see they believe a tax prevents forest fires. Didn’t these people ever get told that only YOU can prevent forest fires? Smokey never said only taxes can prevent forest fires. That’s just science.

During all my whole childhood I saw Smokey Bear – govt needs to dig out old educational videos and PUT THEM ON CBC again. A lot of this trouble with fires could be avoided perhaps, if some sensible topics were talked about like fire prevention, instead of transgender escapades. Nothing is sensible anymore. Not everything is fun.
No wonder Kurt Kobain wrote he couldn’t stand it.
But is it not more costly to not do it? And really…. what is “cost”? To me that wouldn’t be a cost, sending money all over the world though, or destroying the value/buying power of your own currency… Or your manufacturing sector, and the real middle class, soldiers lives on corporate connected gain…. those are costs.
amen brother
In my many years in aviation I’ve been involved with companies that build water bombers and provide aerial suppression (water bombing) of wildfires. It’s a multi billion dollar business with very strong political connections. That just the water bombing aspect. So think about the cost of ground support and you have a huge cartel and empire that directly benefits from wildfires. It’s the same as war, it’s good business. Also locals in the wildfire areas get employment and the native community really benefits. If you think all of these wildfires are started by “natural causes”. I’ll give you the deal of a life time to buy the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver. $29.95 HST included.

Be the cause of the problem (reduce forest fire funding / prevention, make people believe that there is nothing they can do about it because the problem is much bigger than they are). Then profit.
Fuck, and i’ve been trying to invent a better mouse trap all this time! The real money is selling safety to brainwashed masses. (sad, but it’s true. that and selling toilet paper and burger patties to Mcdonalds).
What I’m saying is wildfires solutions are like finding a cure for cancer. $$$$$$$$

It’s because of all the cars and factories on Jupiter of course. I’ve seen things talking about the same on Mars. Their unawareness is mind blowing. Of course there is going to be cooling soon, around the same time as the diversity wars. Should be interesting.
Diversity is jupiters strength.
