In a press conference today, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh pushed back against questions about potentially supporting a Conservative and Bloc Québécois effort to trigger an election, focusing instead on his party’s achievements in dental care coverage for seniors.
“Seniors are just getting help with their teeth!” Singh declared emphatically. “I’m not going to let Pierre Poilievre, ‘King Cut’ himself and the Bloc decide when to cut these things people need.”
The NDP leader’s comments came amid growing speculation about the stability of the current Liberal government due to the Chinese foreign interference scandal currently rocking the Libs, compounded by the corruption of the sdtc or “green slush” fund scandal as well as the “arrivescam” scandal.
When pressed by reporters about why Singh is supporting Trudeau despite “ripping up” the confidence and supply agreement, Singh abruptly ended the press conference.
Notably absent from Singh’s remarks were any substantive responses to questions about recent leaks and evidence regarding Chinese interference in Canadian affairs.
Instead, the NDP leader characterized Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre as “the bad guy” and stated he wouldn’t “play his game.”

Singh’s remarks underscore the growing tensions in Parliament as opposition parties increase pressure on the government, while the NDP attempts to maintain focus on its policy achievements through its agreement with the Liberal government.
