I wish reporters would push the politicians regarding incorrect assertions like “Canada is one of the best countries economically in the G7.” Also, most reporters just accept a non answer.
Great show as always Mark. Regarding the Tucker Carlson assertion that intelligence agencies blackmail Congressmembers, that may be so but I am not sure why they would. It’s not the intelligence agencies running the country.
I think the comment is a bit of a bait and switch. Like most things, a grain of truth is doled out with a twist that mars that truth into what becomes it’s opposite. Similar to the projecting that Mark talked about – where one accuses one of what they are doing themselves (projection). I think she is trying to get in front of it by saying the CIA threatened blackmail. I suspect they are into shady stuff but the accusation puts the Agency on the defense.
I have no doubt that politicians at the highest levels are blackmailed. Also any person of prominence and influence, including high paid actors and musicians.
I think it is the deep state at work rather than the CIA or any other alphabet agency (which again – may be true but for different reasons under different circumstances).
I think you do a thorough job of articulating your thoughts Mark. You take the time to fully fledged out your ideas, knowing they sometimes require detail and explanation – since many can misconstrue the notion to its simplistic form and/or jump to conclusions. I am sometimes surprised when a person will still miss the main point even with a detailed explanation and examples.
The delivery probably doesn’t seem as smooth to you because to a certain degree you are discussing the thought and formulating it in your mind at the same time – sort of like thinking out loud.
