NEW: York's medical officer of health, Dr. Karim Kurji, says he disagrees with @AnthonyDaleOHA and science table that Ont. is in "third wave" of Covid-19. "My sense is they're not going to be explosive, in terms of the growth," he says of variants #onpoli

The "new pandemic", declared by Toronto's @epdevilla over a month ago and existing nowhere else in North America, is marked by a modest increase in "cases" concurrent with a continued decline in deaths and hospitalizations.

Govts refuse to provide an objective/quantitative definition for “pandemic” but insist imposing abusive unscientific/unconstitutional lockdowns/restrictions causing horrific harms until they deem said “pandemic” is over. Meanwhile life is normal normal in many other jurisdictions https://t.co/YEzEY7LF2V

New statistics suggest so few people are using the app correctly that it has almost no effect on slowing or limiting the spread of COVID-19.https://t.co/J9dENJuKZS

I'll leave it to others to determine whether we are in/near a third wave of COVID-19. Regardless, we cannot return to shutting down the economy to address the concern. Lockdowns were meant to buy a bit of time to ramp up health care capacity, not a semi-permanent policy.

Awful headline, let’s have it right, this strain will still be controlled by the vaccines, we’ve had experts say it’s u likely one evades it and or our own immune response.
With 40% of adults and all vulnerable now covered.
Why would you call it the

Nope. @fordnation isn't under the control of the Doctors. Think testing or churches.
But Doug pretends to be for politics & shifting blame. Watch: "Ask any politician, if you disagree w/Dr. you're done (politically)".

🚨OTTAWA UPDATE 🚨:
There is no intention to end the mask mandate in Ottawa.
We are officially chasing zero cases.
Even with mass vaccination we will still be wearing masks.

Making this difficult means people are not going to do it. In a recent example I heard about, multiple schools were contacted about participating in asymptomatic testing on a weeknight at a high school (15-20 minutes away). Close to 2000 students eligible. 10 appointments made /6

As of today, Toronto business have been closed for most of the past year:
– nail/hair salons: 206 days
– gyms: 278 days
– indoor dining: 287 days
And yet, many officials are telling them "just a couple more weeks to flatten the curve". @fordnation, we need a new plan on Friday!

As further evidence of the impact of the pandemic on small business, I can report that CFIB now represents 95,000 members (down from 110,000 pre-pandemic). This is the largest drop in our 50 year history.

I was born and raised in Toronto. I lived in the GTA until I was 48 years old.
Last year I left for good.

That is just human nature. And we are letting it happen."

This is the first known time during the pandemic that pickleball as a sport has been specifically targeted for greater restrictions in Ontario. Even in Shutdown Zones, outdoor pickleball is permitted and has always been permitted since colour zones were introduced last autumn. https://t.co/eHpobD5yQ1

I’m a small business owner, not a doctor. I have zero responsibility to enforce medical recommendations on clients or monitor their health. I have zero medical authority over their persons & likewise I do not consent to medical advice/treatment from other small business owners.

.@fordnation how much does each vaccine cost the taxpayer?
Break it down:
Price of vaccine from pharma
Price of storing and distributing
Price paid to whoever assesses, gains consent, and injects
Price of follow up (studies side effects and benefits)#FollowTheMoney 🤑 https://t.co/iX3gzvJAxh
