I looked up Bill C-293 on the Government website, Legis Info. It says there, as to date Bill C-293 hasn’t passed 2nd reading. I can only assume the site is kept up to date.

Jamil Javani *nailed* that one. Man. I’m with you, it’s very satisfying when you see someone do the dance and land a blow that solidly.

I’m on about the same page you are with the Poilievre conservatives, though. I would dearly love to be wrong, but I think, like just about everyone else in politics these days, we’re just looking at multiple heads of the same hydra. Any individual may look like their own serpent, their tail snaking away into the shadows behind them, but way down deep in the dark they all come together in the same body. Some of the heads butting against each other out there on stage might well not even understand that, or may have convinced themselves they aren’t the same hydra after all. But this head or that head, the dialectical dance carries on, while we all stand hypnotized by the spectacle of it all.

That’s why I just can’t bring myself to believe in Trump, either. Fifteen minute cities or Freedom cities, blatant pharmaceutical company pandering or “operation warp speed”, we just get a slightly different flavour of the same basic direction being driven at. I’d love to be wrong, but I think whether or not he knows he’s just another head of the hydra, he’s doing the same dance as all the others.

Gonna keep on voting PPC here. Maybe Bernier will turn out to be a hydra head too, but he’s doing a much better job hiding the fact, if that’s the case. Gotta have some hope somewhere, right?

Incidentally, I actually love when the show goes long! 🙂 Thanks for the daily dose of sanity as always, Mark!
